Funeral announcements for 9/20/23

A graveside service will be held for Paul Alvin Mayer, age 74 of Austin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  

Visitation for James R. Phillips, age 93 of Austin will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary of Austin.  A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fremont, Nebraska.

Funeral services for Laurence “Larry” Edward Nerison, age 84 of Adams will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams. Interment will be at Little Cedar Lutheran Church Cemetery in Adams, with military honors to be provided by Adams American Legion Post #146.  Visitation will be held at the Adams Funeral Home on Thursday, September 21st from 4:00-6:00 p.m., and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday morning.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary O’Donnell, age 90 of Austin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Alta Vista, Iowa. Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at the church.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Alta Vista, Iowa.  

A funeral service for Bernice Ion Konken (Read) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.  Visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22nd at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday morning.  Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale.

A memorial service will be held for Joyce Halver, age 93 of Adams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams.  Visitation will be at Little Cedar Lutheran Church from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, with private family interment to take place at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church Cemetery in Adams.

A memorial service will be held for Dolores Marie Jech, age 94 at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkton.  Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Elkton.  

A private memorial service for family and friends will be held for Darvin Anderson, age 78, formerly of Austin at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
