Funeral announcements for 4/16/21

A memorial service will be held for Aaron James Loverink, age 49 of Austin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th at Crane Community Chapel in Austin.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning.

 

A memorial service for Anita M. Ulwelling, age 68 of Austin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th at Christ Episcopal Church in Austin.  Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Mayer Funeral Home in Austin.

 

A memorial mass for John Francis Beckel, age 96 of Austin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17th at St Edward’s Catholic Church in Austin.  Visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16th at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and will continue for 30 minutes prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  A rosary service will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Austin, with a flag presentation by Austin American Legion Post #91.  Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.

 

A memorial service will be held for Barbara Jean Haugstad, age 68 of Hayfield, and formerly of Austin will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 17th at Praise Fellowship Church in Dodge Center.  Visitation will take place one hour before the service on Saturday.

 

Funeral services for Gary Lee Applen, age 78 of Austin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17th at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Austin.  Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

A funeral service for Linda A. Jakobson, age 76 of Blooming Prairie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17th at 1st Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie.  Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service at the church on SAturday.  Interment will be in the Blooming Prairie Cemetery.

 

Memorial services for Karen Lee McMasters, age 70 of Austin will  be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 19th at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to the service.

 

A Funeral Mass for John Thomas Jette, age 85 of Austin will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19th at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin.  Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Mayer Funeral Home in Austin, and also for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.  Military rites will be by American Legion Post #91 and VFW Post #1216 of Austin.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin.  The funeral mass will be live streamed on the Myer Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

 

A funeral service for Arlene M. Hanson, age 94 of Lyle will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 19th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle.  Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle. Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.  

 

A private funeral will be held for Dr. Duane John  Wallaker, age 93, formerly of Austin at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, with Austin Post #91 American Legion and VFW Post #1216 in charge of military rites.
