Funeral announcements for 12/2/20

A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Mears, age 103 of Austin will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3rd at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  Friends may call 30 minutes before the service at  the church.  Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Austin.

 

A funeral service for Julian “Jay” George Jessen, age 78 of Austin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 57 people for the service.  A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2nd at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.  Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.  Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, with military honors to be provided by Austin American Legion Post #91.

 

A Funeral Mass for LaVonne M. Griffin, age 96 of Austin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Austin.

 

Interment for Teresa A. Lee, age 64 of Austin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4th at Calvary Cemetery in Austin.  A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 2nd at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.  Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.

 

Funeral services for Viola G. “Vi” Shaefer, age 89, formerly of Austin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5th at the Clasen/Jordan Mortuary in Austin.  Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Austin.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday afternoon.

 

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lloyd R. Mans, age 85 of Blooming Prairie at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie.  Masks, social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced.  Interment will be at the St. Columbanus Catholic Church Cemetery in Blooming Prairie.  

 

A private family graveside service will be held for Merle Harrington, age 100 of Austin, who passed away Thursday, November 26th in Brooklyn Park at Lansing Cemetery in Lansing, MN.

 

A private family interment will be held at a later date for Gloria M. Hill, age 91 of Adams, who passed away on Wednesday, November 11th at her grandson Scott’s home in Dexter, where she lived the last few months.

 

A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2021 for Marian C. Haddorff, age 90, formerly of Austin at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin.  Interment will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

 

A service will be held at a later date for Gloria L. Gilbert, age 73 of Austin, who passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin on Wednesday, November 4th.

 

A service is being planned for the spring of 2021 for Lona Pearl Korfhage, age 90 of Austin who passed away Sunday, November 15th at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin.

 

Timothy David Gabrielson, age 71 of Austin passed away Tuesday, November 10th.  Due to COVID-19, there are no service arrangements at this time, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

 

Services are being planned for the spring of 2021, and will be announced at that time for Nathan Eugene Nemitz, age 95 of Austin who passed away Monday, November 16th at Good Samaritan Society-Comforcare.  Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  

 

Private family services are planned for Dolores R. Olson, age 88 of Austin, who passed away in Austin on Thursday, November 19th.  Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
