Funeral announcements for 1/7/22

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joseph Thomas Murphy, age 93 of Austin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  

A funeral service will be held for Phyllis Mae Knutson, age 97 of Austin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service Saturday morning.  Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  

A memorial gathering will be held for Monica Joy Eastburn-Waltz, age 70 of Austin, and formerly of Owatonna from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8th at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.  

A Celebration of Life will be held for Weston Gene Thompson from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9th at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin.  Military honors will begin at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, followed by a time of sharing open to friends and family.  

A Funeral Mass for Madonna Rosella Weis, age 93 of Rose Creek will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church, with interment at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Rose Creek..

A funeral mass will be held for Keith C. Price, age 90 of Rose Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek.  There will be visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12th at the Mayer Funeral Home in Austin.  Interment will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Rose Creek.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Davin Alan, age 62 of Austin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Austin.  Visitation will begin at the church at 1:00 p.m., and military honors will be performed by Austin Post #91 American Legion and Olaf B. Damm Post #1216 VFW of Austin.  Private family interment will be held at a later date.  Due to COVID, the family is requesting all guests to wear a mask during services, and there will be no reception following the service.
