Five additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,594

Mower County confirmed 4,470 confirmed and 124 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total  of 4,594 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of five from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 41,623 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 560,700 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County logged 13,082 cumulative cases Tuesday, up seven from Monday, Steele County recorded 3,791 cumulative cases Tuesday, a rise of 12 from Monday, Freeborn County reported 3,389 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up two from Monday, Dodge County now has 1,807 cumulative cases, up three from Monday and Fillmore County confirmed 1,537 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up one for the second straight day.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 998 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 581,335, and they added that 11 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in Minnesota from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,174 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 30,574 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,219 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
