From now through the end of the year, extra law enforcement is on the state’s roads looking for impaired drivers. Over the last five years, 125,000 people were arrested for DWI in Minnesota–and almost 13,000 of those happened between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. Both the Austin Police Department and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office are a part of the extra enforcement campaign. Hanson is urging anyone who drinks to plan ahead for a sober ride this holiday season.
