Ellendale man facing drug possession and DWI charges in Mower County District Court
An Ellendale man who was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance by a Minnesota State Patrol Trooper when his vehicle was found parked in Todd Park in Austin late on the evening of October 18th after it had closed, and who was also found with .14 grams of methamphetamine and a marijuana pipe in his vehicle has been charged in Mower County District Court.
57-year old Richard Melankton Olson was charged Monday with a felony for third-degree drugs-possess schedule I or II narcotic in park zone, a gross misdemeanor for fifth-degree drug possession, a misdemeanor for fourth-degree DWI-under the influence of a controlled substance-and a petty misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Olson’s next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for November 4th.
