Children’s Theater Company to debut “Spamtown, U.S.A.” February 16th

The Children’s Theater Company in Minneapolis will be debuting their world premiere production of “Spamtown, U.S.A.” on February 16th.  The play tells the stories of five kids and their families during the 1985 Hormel strike, and Peter Brosius, the Artistic Director for the company told KAUS that one of the company’s passions and priorities is to tell stories from the Midwest, and he added that the company wanted to tell the story of the events in Austin in 1985 through the eyes of children….

Brosius went on to state that the play will take theatergoers though a wide range of emotions…

The play, which was written by Phillip Dawkins and is directed by Will Davis will run from February 16th through April 5th.
