Chicago man pleads not guilty to five felony charges, including 1st degree attempted murder in Mower County District Court

A Chicago, Illinois man who allegedly fired a gun and stabbed another man during a fight on the evening of June 21st inside a residence in the 1800 block of 4th Avenue Northwest in Austin has pleaded not guilty to five different felony charges against him in Mower County District Court.

27-year old Raul Zavala Jr. pleaded not guilty to felony charges of first-degree attempted murder, premeditated, first-degree assault, great bodily harm, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, substantial bodily harm, and two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
A pre-trial hearing for Zavala in Mower County District Court has been scheduled for October 16th. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
