Cannon Falls man injured in one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on Highway 30 in Dodge County Wednesday evening

A Cannon Falls man was injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on Highway 30 in Dodge County early Wednesday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2005 Honda Element being driven by 47-year old Phillip Robert Elwood of Cannon Falls was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 at approximately 5:42 p.m. Wednesday evening when he lost control of the vehicle coming around a curve.  The State Patrol went on to report that Elwood’s vehicle went off the roadway, rolled multiple times and came to a stop at milepost 194.

Elwood suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that Elwood was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Blooming Prairie Fire Department, Blooming Prairie EMS and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Wednesday evening.
