BREAKING-MSHSL Board of Directors votes to move football back to the fall of 2020
On a vote of 15-3, the MSHSL Board of Directors has approved a motion to move football back to the fall of 2020, with practices starting September 28th, and a six-game regular season would start on October 9th and the 10th.
In a survey sent out by the high school league to its members, 80% responded that they would like to see football returned to the fall, with 20% looking to keep football in the spring, as the Board of Directors approved moving football and volleyball to the spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic at a meeting in August.
The Board of Directors also indicated that there will be a two-week post-season for football, with a format to be determined.
