Blooming Prairie volleyball downs United South Central Tuesday evening 3-1
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team was looking for a bounce-back performance against United South Central at home Tuesday evening after falling in four sets to Trition in Dodge Center last Thursday, and the Blossoms picked up 10 or more kills from three different players on their way to a 25-23, 18-25, 25-13 and 25-13 win.
Abby Hefling helped to lead the way to the win for BP with 13 kills, two set assists, two ace serves, two blocks and one dig. Sierra Larson tallied 11 kills, 11 digs and one block, Haven Carlson added 10 kills, three blocks and three digs in the win, Anna Pauly chipped in four kills, two digs and a block, Macy Lembke led the Blossoms in set assists with 18, plus she added seven digs defensivley, two ace serves and a kill, Lexi Steckelberg put up 12 set assists, plus she contributed seven digs and a kill, Madi Lea led the Blossoms in digs with 17, Grace Krejci tallied four digs, Claire Rennie chipped in with three blocks and two digs and Addison Doocy added a block in the win.
Blooming Prairie is now 2-7 in conference play and 5-16 overall. The Blossoms are back on the court Thursday night as they travel to Faribault to take on Bethlehem Academy, with the varsity match set to start at 7:15 p.m.
