The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team was at home for a non-conference match versus Southland Monday evening, and it was the Blossoms dropping the first set, but storming back to win 15-25, 25-23, 25-13 and 28-26.

As she has done all season long, Micalyn Trihus led the Blossoms in hitting as she piled up 23 kills to lead the club in that category.  She also led BP in ace blocks with seven, plus she added four digs.  Julia Worke was also in double figures in kills with 16, plus she led BP in digs with 20, and she added two ace serves and two ace blocks.  Heather Pirkl helped to keep the Blossom’s offense rolling with 21 set assists, plus she was in double digits in digs with 11.  Maggie Bruns was also in double figures in digs with 10, and she added an ace serve, a kill and 10 set assists.   Megan Oswald contributed six kills, two digs and an ace block and Allison Krohnberg added three blocks and four digs.

With the win, Blooming Prairie raises their record to 9-11, while the Rebels fall to 3-14.  The Blossoms will return to Gopher Conference action Thursday night at home against NRHEG, while the Rebels will play host to Plainview/Elgin/Millville in the Three Rivers Conference
