A Blooming Prairie teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident early this (Tuesday) morning on Highway 30 in Dodge County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2002 Toyota Corolla being driven by 18-year old Brent Matthew Weinberger was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 in Westfield Township in Dodge County at approximately 5:39 a.m. Tuesday morning when he swerved to avoid a deer, went into the ditch and rolled near the intersection with 130th Avenue.

Weinberger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems/Austin for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that Weinberger was wearing his seat belt,  and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the Blooming Prairie Fire Department and the Blooming Prairie Ambulance Squad all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
