The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls’ basketball team was looking to get back on the winning track at home Tuesday evening versus NRHEG in a Gopher Conference matchup, and it was the Blossoms coming away with a 55-39 win.

Forward Megan Oswald led BP with a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Bobbie Bruns rolled up an impressive stat line to help lead BP to the win with 11 points, nine assists and six steals, plus she drained one of the Blossom’s two 3-pointers in the game.  Maggie Bruns, Allison Krohnberg and Emily Miller all added seven points apiece and Anna Pauly chipped in four points in the win for Blooming Prairie, who led 24-17 at the half.

With the win, the Blossoms now sit at 6-1 overall on the season, and 5-0 in the Gopher Conference.  Blooming Prairie returns to action Friday night in Waterville against Waterville/Elysian/Morristown, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
