Blooming Prairie boys’ basketball downs Maple River Monday evening 58-40
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys’ basketball team, ranked No. 10 in the state in the latest Class A poll played host to Maple River in a Gopher Conference matchup Monday evening, and the Blossoms ended the first half on a 13-2 run to down the Eagles 58-40.
Gabe Hagen helped to lead the way for BP offensivley with 20 points and seven rebounds, and teammate Drew Kittleson added 12 points in the victory. Kaden Thomas chipped in eight points, while Zach Archer scored six points and Zach Weber added five in the victory for Blooming Prairie, who won their third game in a row and also reached the 20-win mark for the season.
Blooming Prairie will close out the regular season at home Friday night against United South Central, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
