Blooming Prairie boys’ basketball downs Bethlehem Academy 54-33
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys’ basketball team entertained Faribault Bethlehem Academy in a Gopher Conference matchup that had been postponed from earlier in the season, and it was the defending Section 1A champion Blossoms earning their first win of the season Tuesday evening 54-33.
BP head coach Nate Piller stated that Tuesday night’s game was the first this season where the Blossom’s entire roster was available, and Drew Kittleson led Blooming Prairie in scoring with 16 points, Luke Larkoski swished four 3-pointers for 12 points, Mitchell Fiebiger added nine points, Colin Jordinson tallied eight points and Jacob Naatz chipped in six points in the win. Kade Robb led FBA with 14 points, while Justin Simmons added 10 points in the loss.
Blooming Prairie is now 1-3 in the Gopher Conference with the win and 1-3 overall. The Blossoms will return to action at home Friday night in another conference matchup, this one with Medford. B-Squad tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 7:15 p.m.
