Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls’ basketball wins at Medford 47-33 Friday night

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls’ basketball team was on the road Friday night for a Gopher Conference matchup with Medford, and juniors Anna Pauly and Haven Carlson combined for 29 points to help the Blossoms to a big conference win on the road over the Tigers 47-33.

Carlson tallied a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Pauly scored 11 points and pulled in nine rebounds, Bobbie Bruns was limited to 6 points, but dished out a team-high nine assists, Shawntee Snyder chipped in six points and added 10 rebounds, Addison Doocy added four points and Emily Miller scored two points in a game that saw BP lead 26-16 at the half, and it was also a game that saw only one 3-point field goal between the two squads, which was tallied by Medford.

With the win, the Blossoms are now 2-0 in the Gopher Conference and 2-3 overall on the season.  Blooming Prairie is back into action next Tuesday night in Adams against Southland in a non-conference tilt, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
