Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls basketball team wins in Meford 53-22 Tuesday evening

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls basketball team found itself in Medford versus the Tigers in the second game of a back-to-back Tuesday evening, and it was the Blossoms bouncing back from a tough loss at home versus Grand Meadow Monday evening with a 53-22 victory in the Gopher Conference matchup.

Blooming Prairie led 26-8 at the half, and the Blossoms were led in scoring by Anna Pauly, who tallied 12 points and pulled in nine rebounds, Shawntee Snyder and Claire Schwarz each scored nine points apiece, with Snyder draining two of the squad’s four 3-pointers and Schwarz adding one, Haven Carlson chipped in eight points and led the team in rebounding with 10, Chloe McCarthy contributed six points, Macy Lembke swished a 3-pointer on her way to five points and Madelaine Stoen scored four points in the winning effort.

Blooming Prairie moves to 10-11 overall with the win and are now 9-6 in the Gopher Conference, and the Blossoms are back on the court at home Thursday night in a non-conference matchup with the St. Charles Saints, with tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
