Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team stays unbeaten with 78-43 win over Wabasha-Kellogg Thursday evening
The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was looking to stay unbeaten for the young 2023-2024 season Thursday evening as they hosted Wabasha-Kellogg in a non-conference matchup, and it was Brady Kittleson leading four Blossoms in double figures with 22 points in a 78-43 rout.
The Blossoms led 41-23 at the half, and a big difference in the game was free throw shooting, as Blooming Prairie was 10 for 14 from the charity stripe while Wabasha-Kellogg was only 0 for 2. Besides Kittleson’s 22 points, Gabe Hein poured in 21 points, Zach Hein drilled three of BP’s eight 3-pointers in the game on his way to 13 points, Gabe Staloch also drained three 3’s on his way to 13 points, Cooper Cooke sccored four points, Ty Forystek swished a 3-pointer for three points, and Kolby Vigeland tallied two points in the win.
The Blossoms are now 5-0 on the season, and the club is right back into action tonight (Friday) in Randolph versus the Rockets in a Gopher Conference matchup, with tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
