Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team edged by NRHEG 60-54 Friday evening

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was in New Richland Friday night looking to snap a two-game losing streak versus the Panthers of NRHEG in a Gopher Conference matchup, and it was Daxter Lee leading all scorers with 25 points as the Panthers defended their home floor with a 60-54 win.

NRHEG made a 34-23 halftime lead stand up as the Blossoms were led offensively by Brady Kittleson, who poured in 21 points, Zack Hein drained five of BP’s seven 3-pointers in the game for 15 points, Gabe Hein registered the other two and wound up with 12 points, Cooper Cooke chipped in five points and Colby Vigeland scored one point in the loss Friday night.

Blooming Prairie is now 7-14 overall and 3-11 in the Gopher Conference, and the Blossoms return to action next Tuesday for a Gopher Conference matchup with Medford, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
