The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team played host to the Hayfield Vikings in a Gopher Conference matchup Tuesday evening, and Brady Kittleson led three Blossoms with 20+ points in the game with 29, including five of the team’s 11 3-pointers in the game in an 84-42 win.
The Blossoms led 40-21 at the half, and besides Kittleson’s 29 points, Zack Hein added five 3’s on his way to 23 points, Gabe Hein tallied 20 points, Gabe Staloch chipped in seven points, Cooper Cooke tallied foru points, and Kolby Vigeland scored one point in the win. For Hayfield, Rylan Nelson drained three 3-pointers and totaled 14 points, while Gentry Johnson added 11.
Blooming Prairie remains undefeated on the season with the win at 16-0, and they are 9-0 in the conference, while the Vikings fell to 4-15 overall with the loss, and 1-9 in conference play. The Blossoms will wrap up a three-game homestand Friday night versus United South Central in another Gopher Conference tilt, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
