Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team downed by Randolph 86-46

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team finished a stretch of three games in five days, including back-to-back contests at home Tuesday night versus the Randolph Rockets in the Gopher Conference, and Quinn Sabila poured in 25 points and Trey Thielbar added 20 more to help the Rockets to an 86-46 win.

Randolph wound up with four players in double figures overall and led 52-26 at halftime in the win Tuesday night.  Blooming Prairie was led offensively by Gabe Hein, Brady Kittleson and Zack Hein, who all scored 10 points apiece, Cooper Cooke added five points, Sam Smith and Kolby Vigeland both chipped in four points and Gabe Staloch drained the only 3-pointer in the contest for the Blossoms and finished with three points.

With the loss, Blooming Prairie is now 7-13 overall and 3-10 in the Gopher Conference, and the Blossoms will look to get back on the winning track in New Richland Friday night versus NRHEG in a Gopher Conference matchup, with varsity tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
