The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys’ basketball team was in New Richland Tuesday night for a Gopher Conference matchup with NRHEG, and it was the Panthers snapping the Blossom’s two-game winning streak with a 62-44 win.

Mitchell Fiebiger and Drew Kittleson were both in double digits in scoring for BP with 18 and 14 points, respectivley, while Luke Larkoski added seven points, and Chris Naatz and Alex Piller both scored two points for Blooming Prairie, who trailed 22-16 at the half, and they were outscored 40-28 in the second half by the Panthers, who were led by Ashton Johnson’s 16 points in the win.

With the loss, BP falls to 2-4 overall on the 2020-2021 season, and 2-4 in the Gopher Conference.  The Blossoms return to action Friday evening at home against Waterville/Elysian/Morristown, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
