Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball falls to Faribault Bethlehem Academy 61-39

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team returned home Friday night to take on the Cardinals of Faribault Bethlehem Academy in a Gopher Conference East Division matchup, and it was the Cardinals pulling away in the second half to win 61-39.

The game was tied at 24 at the half, and the Blossoms were led offensively by Gabe Hein, who tallied 19 points, Zach Hein drained the only 3-pointer of the game for the Blossoms and scored eight points, Jacob Pauly and Kolby Vigeland each tallied four points, and Cooper Cooke and Brady Kittleson each scored two points in the loss, while Hudson Dillion drained three of FBA’s six 3-pointers in the game and led four Cardinals in double figures with 20 points.

With the loss, Blooming Prairie falls to 2-8 overall on the season and 0-6 in the Gopher Conference.  The Blossoms return to action in the Gopher Conference next Tuesday night in Dodge Center versus Triton, with the varsity tip-off set for 7:15 p.m. that evening.
