Authorities confirm human remains found near Mabel in Fillmore County Wednesday afternoon are those of Madeline Kingsbury

Authorities in southeastern Minnesota are confirming human remains found early Wednesday afternoon near Mabel are those of Madeline Kingsbury who went missing on March 31st.  Winona Police Chief Tom Williams:

Kingsbury went missing after dropping her kids off at daycare. Chief Williams says her body was found by a Fillmore County Sheriff’s deputy in the brush off of Highway 43:

 

Chief Williams stated that the last 69 days have been frustrating, and full of heartache and pain for the family, law enforcement, and the community:

The father of Kingsbury’s children, 29-year old Adam Fravel was taken into custody without incident at a residence in Mabel early Wednesday evening,and he is being held in the Winona County jail on a felony charge of 2nd degree murder with intent/not premeditated, pending a court hearing.  Winona Police also confirmed that the property that Kingsbury was found on was off a public roadway, and not property of the Fravel family.
