Austin’s Agwa Nywesh, a dynamic 6-3 guard for the Packers boys’ basketball team in his high school career has committed to play at Western Nebraska Community College this coming season.

Nywesh first committed to Division I Idaho St., but decommitted one month later and re-opened his recruitment.  Nywesh averaged 14.7 points, 4.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 steals as a senior this past season in helping to lead Austin to the Section 1AAA title game, but that game and the rest of the season were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nywesh averaged 17 points as a junior while playing shooting guard, helping the Packers to a third-place finish in the 2019 State Class AAA boys’ basketball tournament.
