Austin senior Jordyn McCormack, who was a three-sport star in her athletic career with the Packers has committed to play softball at Division III UW-LaCrosse for the 2021 season.

McCormack, who was also a standout on the volleyball court and the hockey rink for Austin played catcher, infield and outfield in her career and hit a blistering .528 with 32 RBIs as a sophomore, but McCormack missed a month of her junior season due to mononucleosis and wound up hitting .279.  McCormack’s senior season was, of course, taken away by the COVID-19 pandemic which forced the cancellation of all spring sports seasons in Minnesota.

UW-LaCrosse was 2-2 this season when the coronavirus pandemic ended the rest of the Eagles’ season.  The Eagles were 29-20 overall in 2019.
