Austin woman who allegedly whipped three different children with a cell phone charging cord charged in Mower County District Court

An Austin woman who allegedly whipped three different children with a cell phone charging cord to the point of bleeding and scarring between October 7th and 20th and who also allegedly punched one of the children in the eye has been charged in Mower County District Court.

29-year old Sharnaye Latrice Scroggins was charged Thursday with three counts of gross misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child and three counts of misdemeanor domestic assault.  Scroggins is also currently awaiting disposition on a misdemeanor prostitution charge.

Scroggins’ next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for November 21st.
