Austin woman sentenced to supervised probation on felony DANCO charges in Mower County District Court

An Austin woman facing felony charges for violating a domestic abuse no-contact order in Mower County District Court has been sentenced to supervised probation.

59-year old Michelle Marie Ahles was convicted and sentenced Wednesday to two years of supervised probation for a felony charge of violating a domestic abuse no-contact order.  A 15-month prison sentence was stayed for two years if Ahles complies with the terms of her probation, and she was also sentenced to two years of supervised probation for an additional felony charge of violating a domestic abuse order, or DANCO.  An 18-month prison sentence was stayed for two years if Ahles complies with the 20 different conditions of her probation, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that the two sentences can be served concurrently.

Ahles first pleaded guilty to the charges, which stemmed from an incident that took place on October 26th, 2020 in July of this year.
