Austin woman involved in four-vehicle accident on Highway 22 in Blue Earth County Monday evening
One person was injured in a four-vehicle accident involving an Austin woman on Highway 22 in Blue Earth County early Monday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2008 Ford Fusion being driven by 19-year old Brylie Grace Tapp of Austin, a 2015 Ford Edge being driven by 35-year old Leah Marie McGregor of North Mankato, a 2009 Toyota Camry being driven by 53-year old Noor Mohamed Yusuf of North Mankato and a 2022 Chevy Silverado being driven by 58-year old Mark Arland Gregor of Minnesota Lake were all northbound on Highway 22 at approximately 6:08 p.m. Monday evening when they collided just south of the eastbound U.S. Highway 14 interchange.
Yusuf suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato for treatment, while Tapp, McGregor and Gregor were all uninjured. The State Patrol reported that all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and they added that road conditions were wet at the time of the four-vehicle crash.
Mayo Ambulance, the Mankato Police Department and the Mankato Fire Department all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene early Monday evening.
