Austin woman injured in two-vehicle accident late Thursday morning

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Austin late Thursday morning. .
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 73-year old Janet Marjorie Borg of Austin, was driving south on 10th Drive SE at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning, stopped for the stop sign, then entered the intersection with U.S. Highway 218 and was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 65-year old Keith Alex Thompson of Bovey.
Borg was taken to the hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol reported that both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
