Austin senior Rafe Dolan Peterson to swim at Division I UWGB next year
Congratulations to Austin senior Rafe Dolan Peterson, who recently committed to swim at Division I Wisconsin-Green Bay next year, where he will receive an athletic scholarship through the Phoenix Fund.
Dolan Peterson had an immensley successful career in his time with the Packers, as he holds the school record in the 100-yard backstroke and has a top-10 time in 10 separate events in Austin High School history, as he was part of the 200 medley relay team with Aaron Knoll, Trey Meyers and Logan Kelly that hold a school-record time of 1:34.12, and that same team also hold the school record for the best time in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:11.76. Dolan Peterson’s time of 1:49.65 in the 200 freestyle is the ninth-best time in Packer boys’ swimming history, and his time of 22.38 in the 50 freestyle currently stands as eighth-best in school history. Dolan Peterson’s time of 46.83 in the 100 freestyle is the second-best time ever recorded for Austin boys’ swimming, and his time of 2:01.64 in the 200 individual medley is also second-best in school history. Dolan Peterson also holds the second-best time in school history in the 100 butterfly of 51.38, and he also currently has the ninth-best time in school history in the 500 freestyle at 5:10.71. Dolan Peterson was also a part of a 200 freestyle relay team with Kelly, Knoll and Meyers that has the fourth-best time in Packer boys’ swimming history at 1:28.41, and he also boasts the second-best time in school history in the 100 backstroke at 52.61.
The Phoenixs’ men’s swimming and diving team finished fifth in the seven-team Horizon League Championships this past season.
