Austin School Board selects three finalists for school district’s Superintendent vacancy

The Austin School Board has selected three finalists to interview for the school district’s Superintendent vacancy, as current Superintendent David Krenz will be retiring at the end of the school year.  The finalists were chosen following a first round of five interviews held February 16 and 17.  The three finalists include Joseph Libby, Executive Director, Teaching and Learning Services, West Des Moines Community Schools, IA, Joey Page, Superintendent, Byron Public Schools, MN and Lori Volz, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, Austin Public Schools, MN.

The school board has scheduled interviews for the finalists beginning at 1:00 pm on February 18th.   

All interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams and the public is invited to observe interviews in Austin High School’s Christgau Hall (enter Door #3).
