Austin Packers wrestling team picks up two wins on Senior Night

The Austin Packers wrestling team had a good showing at Senior Night Thursday night at Packer Gym with two wins over Rochester John Marshall 51-24 and Pine Island 39-18.

Adam Vlasaty had a pair of falls for the evening over Pine Island’s Jack Swanson and John Marshall’s Jacob Hansen, and Lathan Wilson piled up three pins over Pine Island’s Carter Budensiek, JM’s Ethan Bertschinger and Kaleb Gostomckik in an exhibition match.  Nick Asmus earned a pari of wins for Austin over Pine Island’s Jag Foster 4-1 and a pin of John Marshall’s Jaxon Spering.

Austin is back in action Saturday, as they will travel  to Mankato for a triagular with the East Cougars and Winona.  The Packers will take on East at noon, followed by Winona at 1:00 p.m.
