Austin Packers wrestling team falls to Northfield 81-0

After opening their season on November 30th at the 47th annual Dick Shiels Faribault Invitational, he Austin Packers wrestling team traveled to Northfield Thursday night for their first dual meet of the young 2019-2020 season, and it was the Raiders registering seven pins and also cashing in on six forefeits on their way to an 81-0 win.

The Packers forefetited at 106, 113, 126, 138, 170 and 182, and Northfield registered falls at 120, 145, 152, 160, 195, 220 and heavyweight.  The only match that ended in a decision was at 132, where the Packers Lathan Wilson fell to Northfield’s Sam Holman 7-1.

The Packers are back into action on Saturday, as they travel to the Edina Invitational.  The wrestling action starts at 10:00 a.m.
