Austin Packers volleyball swept by Rochester Lourdes 3-0 Tuesday evening
The Austin Packers volleyball team played host to Rochester Lourdes in the fourth of a five-match homestand for Homecoming week Tuesday evening, and it was the Eagles coming away with a 3-0 win 25-21, 25-10 and 27-25.
Peyton Manahan had a strong overall match for Austin with three kills, 12 digs defensively, which was tops for the Packers Tuesday night, one block and one ace serve.  Ava Denzer led Austin offensively with six kills, plus she added an ace block, Emily Hjelmen tallied five kills, one dig and one block, Kathryn Crouch chipped in one ace serve, one set assist and nine digs, and Kristen Nielsen, added three set assists and 10 digs.
With the loss, Austin is now 2-7 overall on the season, and the Packers return to action next Tuesday at home versus Albert Lea, with the varsity action set to start at Packer Gym at 7:15 p.m.
