Austin Packers volleyball swept by Faribault 3-0 Tuesday evening
The Austin Packers volleyball team entertained the Faribault Falcons in a Big 9 Conference match at Packer Gym Tuesday evening, and in their second-to-last regular season home match of the season, the Packers were swept by the Falcons 25-16, 25-6 and 25-18.
Alia Retterath led Austin in set assists Tuesday evening with six, plus she added one kill and seven digs, Chole Jenkins put up five set assists and tallied eight digs, Kristen Nielson led Austin in digs Tuesday night with 20, plus she served an ace and added three set assists, Peyton Manahan led Austin offensively in kills with six, plus in ace serves with three, and she chipped in nine digs as well, Emily Hjelmen tallied three kills, one dig and one ace block, and Isabella Bolster contributed three kills and a dig Tuesday evening.
With the loss, Austin is now 1-7 in the Big 9 Conference and 5-15 overall on the season.  The Packers will play their final regular-season road match in Rochester Thursday evening versus the John Marshall Rockets, with the varsity action starting at 7:00 p.m., before coming home next Tuesday for their home regular-season finale versus Mankato West.
