Congratulations to Austin Packers head boys’ soccer coach Jens Levisen, who has been named the National Coach of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches’ Association, and congratulations also go out to senior Henry Tolbert, who has been named an All-American after also winning the Mr. Soccer award in Minnesota earlier this fall.

Levisen was named the Coach of the Year for small schools after guiding the Packers to a 13-0-1 season that saw Austin average over six goals per game.  The Packers claimed their fourth straight Big 9 Conference title, and they also claimed their fourth straight Section 1A title with a 2-1 shootout win over Dover/Eyota in St. Charles on October 21st.  This past season also saw not only Henry Tolbert, but also goalkeeper Casey Berg and midfielder Andres Garcia garner First Team All-State honors.

Levisen’s record at Austin stands at 180-80-28.
