Austin Packers girls volleyball team downed by Worthington 3-0 in home opener Tuesday evening
After starting the 2022 season with three straight road matches, plus four matches last Saturday at the Rochester Century Invitational , the Austin Packers girls’ volleyball team played host to Worthington for their home opener at Packer Gym Tuesday evening, and it was the Trojans coming away with a 3-0 win by scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 28-26.
Chloe Jenkins put together an impressive stat line for Austin Tuesday night with five kills, which was tops for the club, five set assists, nine digs and one ace block, Teagen Sutter supplied three kills and three digs, Peyton Manahan served up three aces and tallied nine digs defensively, plus she added an ace block, Allia Retterath also served three aces, plus she added a kill and her seven set assists were tops for the Packers Tuesday night, and Kristen Nielsen led Austin defensively with 14 digs.
Austin is now 2-6 overall on the season, and the Packers are back on the court at home next Tuesday evening versus Rochester Century, with the varsity action set to start at 7:15 p.m.
