The Austin Packers girls swimming and diving team played host to the Mankato West Scarlets in a virtual Big 9 Conference dual meet at Bud Higgins Pool Thursday, and the Scarlets were able to earn a 95-83 win.

In the 200 medley relay, the team of Madelynn Murley, Molly Sheehan, Molly Garry and Mackenzie Carter for Austin finished third with a time of 2:04.41, Garry was third for Austin in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.58 and Reese Norton was first in the diving competition for the Packers with a final score of 156.38.  Teammates Katelynn Klouse and Rachel Engelstad were second and third, respectively, with scores of 144.38 and 141.75.

Molly Garry was first in the 500 freestyle for Austin Thursday night with a time of 6:07.05, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Garry, Mackenzie Carter, Madelynn Murley and Molly Sheehan were third with a time of 1:53.23.  Sheehan took first in the 100 butterfly for Austin with a final time of 1:10.69 and Sydney Tobak was third with a time of 1:15.79.  Murley took third in the 100 freestyle for Austin, finishing with a time of 1:09.22, and she was second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10.91.  Sheehan took third for the Packers in the 100 breaststroke with a final time of 1:15.73, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Lucy Lagervall, Ingrid Dolan Peterson, Anna Kossman and Aivia Hemry took second with a time of 4:40.95.

Austin returns to action at Bud Higgins Pool Tuesday, September 8th versus Red Wing in a virtual Big 9 Conference dual meet, with the action scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
