Austin Packers girls’ soccer blanked by Red Wing 3-0

The Austin Packers girls’ soccer team was on the road for the first time this 2020 season Thursday night in Red Wing versus the Wingers, and after the two teams battled to a 0-0 tie in the first half, Lillie Sonju, Cadence Thorson and Sammi Chandler all tallied in the second half to lift the Wingers to a 3-0 win.

Red Wing goalkeeper Tori Senty turned aside all three shots she faced for the shutout.

With the loss, the Packers are now 1-1 on the young season, and they return to action Thursday, September 10th at Art Hass Stadium versus the Rochester Mayo Spartans.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and you’ll hear the game on AM 1480 KAUS, worldwide at myaustinminnesota.com, and on the I Heart Radio app.
