Austin Packers girls basketball team rolls by Kasson//Mantorville 73-54 Friday evening

The Austin Packers girls basketball team played game number two of a two-game road trip to start the 2023-2024 season in Kasson Friday evening versus Section 1AAA rival Kasson/Mantorville, and the Packers saw three players score in double figures, led by Quinn Osgood and Ajiem Agwa, who tallied 21 points apiece in a 73-54 Packer win.

Austin led 33-26 at the half, and besides Osgood and Agwa, Gracie Arndt was also in double figures in scoring for the Packers Friday night with 12 points, Marissa Shute added eight points, Addison Walsh tallied four points, and Nora Sand and Atee Obang each scored two points in the win.

The Packers are now 1-1 overall on the young season, and Austin will play their home opener Tuesday night versus Rochester Century in the Big 9 Conference, and you’ll hear the game on AM 1480 KAUS, with the pre-game show getting underway at 7:15 p.m., and tip-off from Ove Berven Gym at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
