Austin Packers girls basketball team rolls by Faribault 74-31 Tuesday evening

The Austin Packers girls basketball team took to the road Tuesday night as they traveled to Faribault to meet the Falcons in a Big 9 Conference tilt, and it was junior guard Ajiem Agwa pouring in a season-high 32 points to help lead the Packers to a 74-31 rout.

Austin led 48-25 at the half, and besides Agwa’s monster game, freshman guard Quinn Osgood was also in double figures with 15 points, freshman forward Nora Sand tallied seven points, junior forward Mackenzie Brede totaled five points, freshman guard Addison Walsh scored four points, freshman forward Atee Obang and sophomore guard Chloe Cannon each tallied three points, and sophomore center Gracie Arndt and junior guard Marissa Shute both scored two points in the lopsided win.

The Packers are now 3-5 overall on the season and 2-4 in the Big 9 Conference, and the club is back on the road Thursday night for a tough matchup with Section 1AAA rival Byron, with tip-off at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
