Austin Packers girls’ basketball team gets back on the winning track Tuesday night 61-48 at Northfield
Kyra Walters tallied 15 points and Colie Justice added 13 as the Austin Packers girls basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak in Northfield in a Big 9 Conference matchup against the Raiders 61-48 Tuesday evening.
Besides Walters and Justice, Elyse Hebrink added nine points, Erica Lundberg chipped in with eight points, Reana Schmitt tallied seven points, Olivia Walsh scored five points and Emma Dudycha added four for the Packers, who made a 37-27 lead at the half stand up, and they also helped their cause by draining 21 of 27 free throws in the game. Annika Richards of Northfield led all scorers in the game with 20 points.
Austin is now 16-5 in the Big 9 and 19-6 overall on the season.
