Austin Packers girls’ basketball a 75-55 winner at Rochester Century Tuesday evening

The Austin Packers girls’ basketball team was on the road Tuesday evening in Rochester versus the Century Panthers looking to not only get back on the winning track, but also to sweep the regular season series between the two teams, and the Packers drained 11 3-point field goals, including five for guard Cassidy Shute in a 75-55 win.

The Packers led comfortably at the half 42-24 on their way to the win, and Shute’s five 3-pointers helped her to 17 points for the evening, while Austin was led in scoring by guard Hope Dudycha, who swished three 3-pointers on her way to 19 points.  Reana Schmitt was also in double figures for the Packers with 14 points, Olivia Walsh and Ajiem Agwa both tallied seven points, Emma Dudycha drilled two 3-pointers for six points and forward Mya Walters added five points for Austin, who raised their record 14-3 in the Big 9 Conference and 16-4 overall on the season with the win.

The Packers return to action Friday night at Ove Berven Gym as part of a boys/girls doubleheader versus Albert Lea, with tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
