Austin Packers Dance Team takes second in Class AA High Kick State Tournament

The Austin Packer Dance Team competed in the AA High Kick State Tournament held at Edina High School on Saturday, and the squad made history with a second place finish, the highest thus far at the state tournament in the program’s history.

The Packers finished second only to four-time defending Class AA champion Sartell St. Stephen, while Big 9 Conference rival Faribault took third.  Mound Westonka finished fourth, while Benilde-St. Margaret’s and St. Cloud Cathedral rounded out the finalists, placing fifth and sixth, respectively.

Congratulations also goes out to seniors Briella Wempner and Toria Strampe, who both earned Academic All State with a GPA of 3.8 and up.
