Austin Packers boys tennis team falls to Winona Cotter 6-1 Tuesday

The Austin Packers boys tennis team continued a busy week Tuesday by hitting the road to Winona to take on the Cotter Ramblers in a non-conference match, and it was the Ramblers coming out on top by a score of 6-1.

Cole Hebrink picked up the lone win for Austin Tuesday as he outdueled Ondrej Vitasek of Cotter in three sets at No. 1 singles 4-6, 7-5, and 10-6 in the third and deciding set.

The Packers will be back on the road to Red Wing Thursday to take on the Wingers, with the action scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., to be followed by the Big 9 Conference tournament, which will get underway at the Rochester Outdoor Tennis Center at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
