The Austin Packers boys’ swimming team took on the Albert Lea Tigers in a Big 9 Conference matchup Thursday evening at Bud Higgins Pool, and it was the Packers earning an 84-53 win.

Packer Head Coach Ryan Kelly stated that the highlight of the night was probably the Packers 200 medley relay team of Rafe Dolan Peterson, Logan Kelly, Trey Meyers and Aaron Knoll getting things off to a quick start by taking first with a time of 1:41.75.  Dolan Peterson was first for Austin in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.62, and Myers took first in the 200 individual medley with a final time of 2:13.06, while teammate Winston Walkup was second with a time of 2:24.49.

Knoll and Jackson Marsh went 1-2 for Austin in the 50 freestyle with times of 24.21 and 25.35 seconds, respectivley, and the Packers swept the top three spots in the 1-meter diving competiton with Riley Norton finishing first with a score of 202.30, Riley Ferguson was second with a total of 152.05 and Zach Evenson was third with a score of 112.30.  Myers took first for Austin in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.48 seconds and Knolla and Walkup were 1-2 in the 100 freestyle with times of 54.16 and 55.17 seconds, respectivley.

Kelly was first for Austin in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:08.21, while teammate Tate Miller was second with a final time of 6:20.13.  The Packers 400 freestyle relay team of Rafe Dolan Peterson, Tate Miller, Jackson Marsh and Aaron Knoll finished things out for Austin in first place with a time of 3:51.85.
