Austin Packers boys swimming and diving team downs Rochester John Marshall 91-74 Tuesday evening
The Austin Packers boys swimming and diving team took to the road Tuesday evening as they traveled to Rochester to take on the John Marshall Rockets in a Big 9 Conference dual meet, and it was the Packers coming away with a 91-74 victory.
Helping to lead Austin to a win Tuesday night was the squad’s 200 Medley Relay team of Lucas Meyers, Zach Evenson, Brent Dahl and Hunter Peters, as they took first with a time of 1:53.93, Noah Holt and Simon Pischke finished second and third, respectively, in the 200 Freestyle with times of 2:13.93 and 2:18.81, and Brent Dahl took first for the Packers in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:07.24.
Zach Evenson and Hunter Peters took the top two spots in the 50 Freestyle Tuesday evening with times of 23.24 and 24.84 seconds, respectively, and Evenson and Kael Purkapile finished 1-2 in the 100 Butterfly with times of 1:10.33 and 1:20.14. Lucas Meyers and Noah Holt took first and second in the 100 Freestyle for Austin Tuesday night with times of 55.06 and 58.78 seconds, Hunter Peters was first in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:34.15, and the 200 Freestyle Relay team of Zach Evenson, Noah Holt, Julian Koch and Lucas Meyers was second with a final time of 1:43.81. Lucas Meyers and Simon Pischke second and third in the 100 Backstroke with times of 1:04.58 and 1:18.05, Brent Dahl took first for the Packers in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.28, and the Packers saw both of their 400 Freestyle Relay teams go 1-2, as the team of Hunter Peters, Noah Holt, Simon Pischke and Brent Dahl was first with a time of 3:54.27, and the team of Julian Koch, Olin Burke, Kael Purkapile and Tito Blake Barona was second with a final time of 4:47.20.
The Packers return to action Thursday night in Winona versus the Winhawks in another Big 9 Conference dual meet, with the action slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
